About the shop

A family computer repair shop on Route 130 in Delran, since 1997.

AAA Computer Service Center was started in 1997 by Jim Ortega, a hardware engineer who had worked at Compaq, Toshiba, Dell and IBM. The idea was simple: fix computers properly, charge a fair price for the work, and tell people the truth when something is not worth fixing.

Today there are more than 30 years of experience behind the counter, and it is still the same family on Route 130. We started in Cinnaminson, moved to Hartford Corners, and are now in Tenby Plaza in Delran. Generations of South Jersey and Philadelphia families have trusted us with their devices, and they keep coming back because we guarantee all our work.

We show you what we did and why, and we explain the quick fixes you can do at home so the next problem costs you less. If we cannot fix it in a way that saves you money, we will say so and point you to the best option.

Most computers people give up on are not finished. Slow usually means it needs an SSD. Won’t charge usually means the power jack. A drive full of photos that stopped opening is usually still readable. Finding out which one you have is the real job, which is why the diagnostic is a deposit and comes off the repair.

We work on Mac, Windows, Chromebooks, iPhone, Android, tablets and gaming PCs, every brand, and we build custom machines. We also sell refurbished laptops, desktops and monitors.

“Jim and Ellie did a great job with my laptop issues and even brought my daughter’s Apple laptop back to life (it was 8 years old). They were able to give it more memory and most likely give her 5 more years of usage. Saved us a lot of money!”

Common questions

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk in any time we are open, seven days a week. If you need it back the same day, call first and we will tell you if we can do it.

What does it cost to find out what’s wrong?

There is a small diagnostic deposit. If we tell you it is not worth fixing, you pay nothing. If we fix it, the deposit comes off the repair.

Do you price match?

Yes. We aim to be the lowest price in the area. Tell us the price you were quoted and we will match it or beat it.

How long will it take?

Phone screens and batteries are usually the same day. Most computer repairs take a day or two, depending on parts. Data recovery depends on the drive, but we can usually tell you the same day what you are looking at.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Yes. All our work is guaranteed. If something is not right, bring it back to us.

Are my files safe with you?

Yes. We do not go through your files, and we do not keep copies. For data recovery, tell us where you want the files put (a new drive, a USB stick, your new computer) and that is where they go.

What should I bring?

The device and its charger. Your login password or PIN, so we can test the repair. And if you remember what it was doing when the problem started, tell us.

Do you buy or sell computers?

We sell refurbished laptops, desktops and monitors from the shop, and we build gaming PCs. Ask what we have in.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. Small offices, stores and accountants around South Jersey. Problems and missing files in QuickBooks, ATX and other accounting software especially.

Don’t buy a new one yet.

Bring it in. A small deposit tells you what is wrong, and if it is not worth fixing you pay nothing.
